The Quairading Branch of RDSWA was established in 2011. Classes are held on Wednesdays after school at the Town Hall.

Classes offered for 2021 include Beginners Ballet ( 3-4yrs) Jazz ( 5yrs -up) Ballet ( 5yrs -up) Acro ( 6yrs-up)

Tap ( 5yrs-up) Hip Hop ( 8yrs-up)

( These age groups are a guide only and students may be combined depending on numbers enrolled )

All uniform items are available through our supply business – RURAL DANCE SUPPLIES

This enables the students to purchase the uniform ( leotards, tights and skirts ) as well as have the shoes correctly fitted. Ballet and jazz shoes are not sized the same way as street shoes and must fit correctly for safety. Shoes that are not fitted correctly can lead to bunions, claw and hammer toes and shoes that are too big can disguise incorrect use of the metatarsals and become dangerous when students begin to move quickly across the floor. Uniform can be purchased with cash or check on the first day, but only via direct credit after this.

ALL JAZZ AND ACRO SHOES MUST HAVE ELASTICS INSTEAD OF LACES. This is for the safety of everyone’s children.

Classes are $9.90 for 30 mins and $11 for 45mins, fees are paid at the beginning of each term and as a term fee. New students receive their first lesson free!!!

2021 will see the opportunity for students to become part of the competition team for their town. These students will represent Quairading at the Quairading agricultural

show, take part in competitions at Country Dance Challenge in Northam and also perform an extra routine at the end of year concert. Students wishing to take part in the team please apply when you enrol online.

Each year the children perform in the end of year recital which is a highlight for families and friends. Apart from their participation trophy, students receive a certificate to commemorate the year and some will also receive special prizes for achievement and encouragement awards. There are also full and partial scholarships given to eligible students when ever possible.
